SAFEGUARDING Appeal on Safety
The attention of the Safeguarding Team has been drawn to the activities of children after the Sunday Masses.
At St. Michael Parish Hall, the children play with the stacked chairs. This is extremely dangerous and causes a risk to injury of the children and those around.
At Holy Cross, the children have no restrictions nor awareness and wander into the Sanctuary which is sacred.
We call on parents and guardians to always supervise the little ones, as we do not have any volunteers to help with monitoring at this time. Volunteers for the role will be highly appreciated
SAFEGUARDING: Parish Volunteers Review
The Safeguarding team requests all volunteers to complete a short mandatory review to ensure all clearances and training records are brought up to date. A Google Form will be available shortly for everyone from St. Michael and Holy Cross to confirm their details.
Thank you to all who serve and new volunteers are warmly invited to join.
Please see the Safeguarding page for more details.

SAFEGUARDING: Safer Recruitment Checks
All roles eligible for a DBS must hold a DBS issued within the last three years. If your DBS is still valid (within the last three years), no action is required. If your DBS is older than three years, a new DBS needs to be put in place.
Please note: Due to the likely increase in DBS applications, processing times may be longer than usual. The parish Safeguarding Team appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.
Lend a Hand, Change a Life!
Our parish's new St Vincent de Paul team is more than a group, it is a family of everyday heroes looking to make a difference in our community. Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a smile, or offering support to those in need, our time and kindness can go a long way.
We're looking for volunteers with open hearts and willing hands. No experience needed, just a desire to help!
Come be part of something meaningful. Speak to Regina, Vivien or Keith after Sunday Mass to learn more about being part of something special and heart warming!
